Desperate

Almost every night, the children (especially the teens) join the regular Prayer Meeting of BBCMB. It started in July this year, because the church is desperate for the work of the Holy Spirit in growing to 300 disciples this year. PCM children are an integral part of the church where almost all of our teens are active leaders in discipleship and ministries. This is a different season in PCM -- the teens don't look at themselves as victims anymore but victorious soldiers of the Lord.

Church is a family

This is a Care Group of BBCMB, PCM's partner church. This CG is composed mostly of PCM girls (all except one in the picture) and is led by Ate Tricia every week. One time, she posted in her Facebook the some touching words...
"As I see and hear them praying, leading worship, testifying, sharing their insights regarding certain verses, openly sharing what they feel, what they have been through for the whole week, how God moved and did amazing things, and how blessed they are, all I can tell myself is... 'Lord, I'm very thankful for entrusting them to me. I'm so much blessed with their lives."
"One time, after CG time, they accompanied me to the gate. Then when I was a bit far away, they altogether shouted, 'We love you, Ate Tricia!' Oh my, I love them, too. Together, we'll soar like eagles."

Wow. These words prove to me that church is not just an organization - it's a family. And with the likes of Ate Tricia in our partner church, I can look forward to many good things to the children of PCM. Muchos gracias, BBCMB and Ate Tricia!

Gold!

Rowena Masula, 2nd year Education student in College of Mary Immaculate, bagged the gold medal in table tennis. She bested 5 other players from other departments in their College Intrams held last October 17, 2016. PCM, with the grace of the Lord, is in the business of turning disadvantaged children into champions and leaders.

Campus Ministry Summit

PCM children with summit speaker Jon San Diego (leftmost) and
summit organizer Ptr. Loi (rightmost).
Last Saturday, a Campus Ministry Summit was held in Praise Christian Fellowship - Manila. It talked about how a church can start and organize a campus ministry. Three students of PCM (Joana, Jomari, Rowena) joined the summit, along with two elderly brothers from their church. They will form part of the church team who will start their own campus ministry as the Lord leads. Now the Lord is preparing PCM children for the greater work in the God's kingdom.

Quiet but powerful

Jomari Rabang is the silent-type person. He is not your typical sociable youth. At certain times of the day, he would rather pray and read the Bible than join in fun talk with other children in the orphanage. All the more you wouldn't find him talking with classmates about worldly matters.

He is 15 years old, Grade 9, an Excellence Awardee. He is an outstanding chess player as well. He leads a discipleship group in school every Friday, and has been bringing some of them to church. He excels both in academic and spiritual matters. He has grown to be spiritually mature for his age, much thanks to the discipleship of his mentor, Ptr. Nelson.

There was a YouthJam in their campus last August, where Jomari led 8 churches to a powerful lively worship. He leads worship during Sundays in his church too. Ptr. Nelson is planning to make him part of the leadership core in the church. Truly, one can't judge a book by its cover. We are looking forward the greater things that the Lord Jesus will do to him and through him.

Meaningful Water Baptisms

In July 2016, 7 youth from PCM were baptized by Ptr. Nelson in our partner church, Bible Believers Church & Ministry of Balagtas (BBCMB). This is the start of their relationship with Jesus and serving Him with all that they have. They realized that they are new creations, forgiven and freed from sin, and there is much to hope for from their Father in heaven.

They're supposed to ask for help...

But now they are helping. The children of PCM don't want to remain as blessed; they want to be a blessing to others as well. And so they serve in Bible Believers Church & Ministry of Balagtas (BBCMB). Jomari is one of the song leaders in the worship services. Joana manages the laptop/projector. Ricardo takes care of the sound system. Rowena teaches in Sunday School. Praise God for allowing the partnership of PCM and BBCMB to fulfill the word in Isaiah 61:1 - "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me... to proclaim good news to the poor... to bind up the brokenhearted... to proclaim freedom for the captives."

Christmas Party was a blast!

Last Christmas Party, we had a blast! PCM children were handling the program themselves - emcees, songleader, and instrumentalists. Games were facilitated by alumni children of PCM. The parents of the children marveled at how their children have grown to minister from the stage. Of course there's the usual gift giving by the friends of PCM, alumni, and the Dellotas. There were about 150 people in the party, mostly relatives of the PCM children. The food was great and sufficient for all. We held the party in BBCMB, our partner church. The leaders of the church helped in the food preparation, serving, and clean up.

When Jesus was born, he was called Emmanuel, meaning God is with us. It was also a declaration of salvation and favor from the Everlasting Father in heaven. Such was the atmosphere in our Christmas Party. What a way to savor the season!
